Prior to starting Visual Africa Films Ltd, our director, Feisal Malik, was a wildlife photographer and film maker guided photographic camping safaris around Kenya for more than 13 years. He holds a degree in International Business Administration, with a concentration in Management and also graduated from the Wildlife Film Academy in South Africa. He has been involved in the film industry in Kenya from 2002, and has been fortunate to have his hands dirty in all aspects of TV and Film production from fixing, logistics, script writing, acting, directing and cinematography. In 2008 he was selected by filmaka.com as one of the four upcoming filmmakers in Africa and was amongst the four “Africa faces of filmaka.”
Feisal has also been a speaker for TEDx Nairobi; an independently organized TED event – Reduce, Revise, Reclaim:

His Profile featured in “JAZBA”, under the “top 35 under 45” section. This is a coffee table book published by Radio Africa Group to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the Kenyan Asians and their contribution to the Nation.
He was Invited by the National Film & Video Foundation (NFVF) – South Africa to sit on a panels to discuss Service Production for filmmakers and co-productions within Africa. This was at the 5th Durban Film Mart @ The Durban International Film Festival 2014.
He was Selected for the 2nd edition of Talent Campus Durban, as amongst the 40 upcoming film makers in Africa. It was part of the 30th Durban International Film Festival 2009.
